Y3W: Focus on Organization

While everyone else is heading into the weekend with thoughts of fun Halloween festivities, I am thinking about the organization, or lack there of, at my house. That's right, it's time for a good old day of cleaning and organizing the house!

I don't know about you all, but my family has been super busy with fun Fall activities, it's great and awesome, but it leaves our house rivaling what you might see on an episode of Hoarders: Buried Alive. Piles of mail, diaper bags that need to be emptied, toys EVERYWHERE, dust bunnies, loads upon loads of laundry (I started on that last night!), and just general clutter that needs a new home either in our house or the dumpster! I also need to pack up summer clothes and pull out the winter clothes for the kids which means a trip to the consignment shop or Goodwill.

After all this occurs, and only then, I will be able to enjoy regularly scheduled activities! Pumpkin carving and Halloween Parties!

Have a great weekend!

Convos in the Car

Every afternoon, Vincent and I drive about 20 minutes to the sitters house where we pick up Audrey. During this time, we chat, listen to music, or throw epic temper tantrums because Mommy won't follow the fire truck.

Yesterday, Vincent was jibber jabbering about "you be the mommy and I'll be the daddy."
So, bravely, I decided to ask him "What do Mommies do?"
According to my three year old "Mommies go to work and clean up toys."
They also "make rice for me to eat."
That answer seemed fair, so I decided to test the waters further...
"What do daddies do?" I asked slyly.
And the answer?!?
"Daddies watch Batman, Transformers, and Spider-man." "They eat a lot too!"

WOW. No wonder Vincent wanted to play the Daddy! Can I?

Wordless Wednesday: You Can't Scare Me!

While most parents would feel like bad people leading their children into an everything you could imagine Halloween shop, like Spirit, I don't because my barely 3 year old feels right at home...

We did secure a perfectly age appropriate Buzz Lightyear costume and a cute costume for Audrey.... guess you'll have to wait until Halloween... bwhahahahaha....

Top Ten Tuesday: Audrey is 6 months old!!!

Top Ten {Tuesday}
Yes! I can hardly believe it myself! There are so many great things about having a 6 month old!

 Like:

1. Being able to sit up on her own (if only for a couple of seconds)

2. Starting Solids, or getting more adventurous with solids

3. Watching her play, especially with big brother!

4. Baby giggles

Yes,  I know she sounds like the Count on Sesame Street :)

5. Discovering new things (even if it is her feet)

6. Waking up and greeting mommy with a smile

7. Watching her try to crawl - Video to come soon :)

8. Having serious, in depth conversations with her

9. Watching her light up when someone she recognizes comes in the room

10. Seeing her grow...

Happy Half Birthday Audrey!
